Standby does not work

I am running ME. At sometime my computer displayed a message saying something
about having a problem with standby, there was a box to check, must have
checked the wrong box. Since then I have been unable to go into standby. How
do I correct this?

I think you should have a problem with your graphic card , try to update the
graphic card or reinstall it if you have that driver. letÂ´s hope .
