I replaced hard drive on my Dell Inspiron 8200 notebook. It worked well after
reinstallation of Windows XP Pro, Office XP, and (I believe) Windows Service
Pack 2. But after installation of Office Service Pack 3, the "standby"
feature of Windows has a problem. If I can get it to "standby", the curser
appears; but I can't "click" on anything when I try to select a user or
"start" to shut it down. The only way I am able to get it going again is to
hit the power switch and restart. Any ideas??- Mike

Strange that an Office update would do this - seems more likely to be SP2
related. Have you updated your BIOS? Updated drivers for NIC, video, audio,
etc., from your hardware mfr's website/s ?
