Until recently I notice however that when MCE starts (for recording a TV
program) at night or during the day, that it SWITCHES ON MY MONITOR showing a
BLACK SCREEN. My monitor is thus working, and consumes then about 140
Watts/hour (a 26" LCD monitor).
I have noticed that this problem started about one month ago, and I have
been searching for a resolution. I have not found one yet.

Does your monitor have an On/Off switch? <eg>
Otherwise perhaps you need to choose a different
screensaver--such as whatever the OP is using? <EG>

Of the three updates mentioned it sounds as if KB926255
would be the only one related to both symptoms.
Apparently sxs.dll is updated with it and apparently
csrss.exe needs it.
BTW neither of these symptoms are really relevant to WU.
You may get better assistance from a newsgroup which
specializes in maintenance for your OS.
Oh. Second poster has a different OS.
And it is almost 2 years since the OP posted this.
Hopefully a solution was found. <eg>
Good luck
