On Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1978),

The Enterprise has been under redesign, when a "thing" out there in space
is headed towards earth...
While its not yet finished the Enterprise is forced to go out and try to
intercept this "thing".

This reminds be of vista's launch.. it is not really finished, yet it is
released...

from 2 years between win 2k and xp, you may say they didnt have much time...
5 years to get vista out with such low quality is unaceptable.
This thing needs a service pack before its even launched!!

if bmw had so many problems in the new models, they would have suffered
greatly..

But MS has dorks like you that eat whatever they give you..

far from a dork. actually started out my career as one of those "unix guys"
you hear so much about... moved to Linux to develop applications in C soon
after. use windows on the desktop because, well, its better than any other
desktop OS out there.

think, for a minute, of the enormity of the task of not only developing an
OS, but having to develop it, market it, and roll it out where it will be
used on 9.99% of pc's across the planet eventually. then having to keep
countless thousands of companies happy at the same time... not to mention
the **** ants like yourself that also want to be made happy.

you need some business training before you can appreciate any of this. until
then, go play warcraft and complain that your video card doesnt yet have
drivers for vista

LOL... its so funny that people goof on MS for taking too long to release an
OS, and in the same breath say there was no reason to release it because it
was "change just for the sake of change". why care how long it took to
release if you dont like it and dont intend to use it? ill tell you why...
because the possibility of MS missing their planned date is funny and makes
some whackos happy. LOL

these are the same idiots that will be running vista as soon as they can get
it without having to pay... trust me!
