I have lost the image that is displayed at the top right of the Start menu.
I still see it in User profiles. Does anyone know how to turn it back on?

Hi, Ed.

Go to Start } Control Panel | User Accounts and "Change your picture". ;<)

I'm using Win7; you didn't say what you are running so there may be slight
differences.

I'm running Win7. I have done that. The picture on my user account changes
but there is no picture on the Start menu.
Somewhere (registry???) the Start menu display must be turned off. That's
what I'm looking for.

Mr. Pancks,
What is 'it' that I'm supposed to click on??? I have changed pictures
(images) in user profile and nothing happens to show what I have selected on
the start menu but the image does show on my user profile. There is no
action when I right click this image. I'm running Win7 and mostly default
settings.

If by start 'orb' you mean the Windows button in the lower left corner, Win7
also has one. I have several computers (XP, Vista, Win7) and only the Win7
one does NOT show a picture on the start menu.

Guys,
Thanks for help; I solved it!!!!! I customized the Windows button's
navigation pane (right side) with too many items and that crowded off the
space available for a picture.
Will have to be more choosey in what I add to that pane.
