OK I worked the problem out myself. I know I may not have explained
it too good but as I said this was on my wife's new Vista box which I
am not real familiar with.
The problem was when she clicked on Start, Programs there should have
then been a Programs group along with Games, Startup, Utilities, ETC
but it was not showing up. Thus Start, Programs, Programs which had
her Office, MS Works, ETC. Follow me so far in case someone else has
this problem?? I made a Programs group under Start, Programs which
works on my XP box.
Well while trying to figure out why it would not show up the wife said
to me "This may be a stupid question but what if having a Programs
group under Start, Programs confused it"?? The computer I guess she
meant. Well to show her that having a Programs group under Start,
Programs made no diff and to keep her happy I shortened the Programs
group name to Progs and restarted system and low and behold it
worked!!! The Progs group showed up under Start, Programs.
Evidently having a Programs group under Start, Programs did "confuse"
it. Now that is all I hear from the wife that SHE figured it out when
she knows nothing about computers and I am SUPPOSED to. My life is
going to be miserable for a while!! :-(
Just thought I would let yous know the solution in case anyone else
had this problem.
