Start Menu

I have just installed Vista Business 64 bit. I am noticing something that I
had not had with Vista Home Premium. Some of the program listings when I
click START/ALL PROGRAMS are highlighted in Yellow. I don't notice any
significant pattern to this, but some are highlighted...some are not. It's
driving me crazy. Can anyone please assist with what this means, and how I
get rid of it ?

Hello GJB,

This is most likely the "Highlight newly installed programs" option in
the "Customize Start Menu" settings. Unchecking that option should stop
it for you. This tutorial will help show you how to if needed.

For the past 3 versions of Windows, newly Installed programs are highlighted
so that the neophyte computer user can easily find that which he just
installed.
