I just reinstalled Vista (64-bit, Ultimate, SP-1) and was checking out on
how some programs were running and realized that after I typed in a few
letters in the "start search" field my programs were NOT showing up. What
did I do wrong? What setting did I mess up?

What programs are not running? Are they ones that come with the operating
system? Are they ones that were included by the computer manufacturer on the
computer you purchased? Are they programs that you had installed yourself
and now need to reinstall again?

Please clarify!

Sorry, always in a hurry.

For example; I have a very simple program called Shape Collage. When I click
Start and I type in the first few letters of the program's executable
("shape collage.exe") shap..., shouldn't shape collage show up in that
field? I get a blank field with the top saying no items matched your search.
Did this explain what I mean? (Another example; If I type in the search
field, "calc," shouldn't Windows "Calc" show up? It doesn't).

Never mind. I think they invented the term "horses ass" just for me. Be
careful when you horse around with the "properties" on the Start button!!!
