Start the Engine (Ctrl+E = Engine Autostart)
Raise throttle
Pull on the yoke when you're going fast enough.

OK, the real answer.......

1.Start a flight normally
2. Taxi to your parking spot of choice
3. Secure engines (CTRL+SHIFT+F1)
4. Save flight.

The next time you want to start in that condition, load the flight you saved
as above.

Was guessing, never played the game. Probably a copy of the game anyways.
Doesn't FSX have a manuel or at least a tutorial?

Hi Thanks to Tom And Joe for the answers. I just knew I should have re
phrased the question, I had sorta figured out the throttle, yoke, flight bit
but as fsx insisted on sticking me on "active runway" with the engine running
and me thinking "this does not
happen in real life does it"? I thought I would find out the correct way of
doing it. Following on from your advice I can now start from "cold and dark"
by switching switches and pressing buttons in the VC. Starting the Spitfire
following the procedure in the flight manual provided in this excellent
package from Flight 1 adds a whole new dimension. Thanks again.
