Start up Loop..? BSD

Can anyone help me..
My Laptop seems to be stuck in a boot up loop.. I get as far as the
Vista Logo.. And then i get the BSD.. Saying.........

PAGE_FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA


It wont boot in safe mode..

Any help would be appriciated...

Hi!

I would start with a memtest86 (http://www.memtest86.com/), otherwise it
can be a problem with page file. No other idea what else can cause that.

I am not an MVP, but I've been using computers for a number of years and what
you describe is a classic virus symptom.

See if you can open in safe mode and then run any antivirus program that you
have installed. You open safe mode by turning off the computer, switching it
on again, and keep tapping key F8 until (hopefuly) it does offer to allow you
to open in safe mode. Let us know if that helps you.

I had a very similar problem when I first attempted to upgrade XP to VISTA.
Finally realized that VISTA was not finding my hard drives which were on a
Silicon Image ATA IDE card. I could not load the drivers manually and
finally ended up purchasing and installing a SATA hard drive and I was then
able to install VISTA.

It appeared fine until the final boot and it could then no longer find the
hard drives and obviously did not not like the XP drivers.
