Start up problem, grey screen??

Hey group, i have a AMD5000x2 with an ATI 1300pro video card and dell 22"
widescreen display hooked up to the digital output. Running Vista HP. My
problem is half the time i boot up the screen flashes 2 alternating frames
of grey. I can even hear the audio that vista plays after a succesful boot,
but the screen doesn't respond. Sometimes i have to reboot more than once to
get a normal startup. I wonder if its the digital output from the video
card. Should i go back to analog? Anyone ever heard of this with Dell units
like the E521 that i have? Thanks for your help, Skyman

Go to your OEM's or video card manufacturer's website and get the latest
driver.

Yeah updating the driver was the first thing i tried. Vista even located and
installed it for me automatically. Do you think i should look manuallly for
a newere version?

Yes, go to your OEM's or device manufacturer's website and get the latest
driver.
