Hi,

You already hit upon it. The startup folder under %userprofile% applies only
to the individual user.
> And secondly, why am I (admin) not able to see her AppData folder ?
Because by design even an admin account does not run with sufficient
elevated privileges. Nor will it have the proper permissions. The security
design of Vista keeps the user's access to only it's own user environment
and the shared one. One cannot access system folders or other user accounts
unless permission is specifically invoked. This prevents malware from
infecting an entire system by using the admin privileges users typically ran
with in XP and previous versions of Windows.
> And lastly, where would the common startup items be for all users ?
HKLM run keys in the registry.
