Starup programs

I'd like to add some programs which load at startup but am not allowed to
put anything into the \Windows\Start Menu\Startup folder - there are already
a couple of programs there which load at startup so I assume this is where I
need to add others.

I guess this is a very simple matter but clearly doing something wrong.

Click Start > All Programs > right click the 'Startup' folder > click
'Explore' > copy the Outlook Shortcut there and you're done.
