Curt,
It's the HP software causing the issue or vice versa. Suggest
uninstalling the UNneeded HP Publish to Web service.

Specifically, the two files involved are hpgs2wnd.exe

You can disable this from running on Startup by going to Start, Run,
and then type in
msconfig
Click OK. Click the Startup tab. Disable this from running by unchecking
the box next to it, click Apply, then Close. Restart the system and then
apply the update. Restart the system once more.
If you want to reenable Share to Web, then go back into msconfig and
recheck the boxes. Restart the system to affect the change.
