Status override to "online" at all times

Is there a way to voerride Windows Live messenger for Windows XP so that it
shows my status as "online" all times, even when my computer is "sleeping" or
my computer is ocked or off?

I'm afraid not. You have to be connected to Messenger for you to show as online.

Although when it's locked it should show you online (but away/idle).
