Status says In Progress

I am running ME on this computer. I have been through this twice. I
restored the Operating System and am getting the updates from Windows Update.
In attempt to download Windows Media Player 9 Series, it seems that the
download is normal, but when I view the Installation history, it says Status:
In Progress. To my knowledge, the update was completed. I was prompted to
restart the computer after the download was finished and installed. Why does
this Status information say that the Media Player 9 Series download is still
in progress? Does this hurt anything?
