I figured out how to enable this (show disable devices, etc). However, when
I record streaming audio and I set the recording level to max, I still get
very low input being recorded. There has to be some way to get a stronger
signal recorded. I have the usual RealTek sound device. Any ideas?

You are aware that when you do this, it's also dependent on how high
your output audio is? Turn your play volume all the way up and give
it another try. Turn down your speakers with the knob on them.
