i have check just about everything to find where my sound is and i still cant
seem to find it. i have done all the troubleshooting that i could ever do. it
says that my sound is being used by another program so i done the
Ctrl+Alt+Delete! still nothing i want to delete my Launch Internet Explorer
browser button because i think that i downloaded it. and that microsoft
internet explorer is my "main" and i want it back to what i had. will this
make a difference?

If you have SP2 try opening the new Media Player and go through it's
permissions then your sound system should work. At least it did for me. Good

do you know if you have an on board sound card and an
after market in which case it's probably just a matter of
switching back from the on board to the aftermarket card
