Right, I have done the deleting and re-starting and now the empty file is not
even there? Why go on-line and down load all the icons if Vista is not going
to use them?? That is a futile waste of time?? Is Microsoft un-able to send
program of just icons/ or is it the money issue again? I have already been
nickle and dimed to death over this "superior" upgrade called VISTA. Isnt
there a icon dept head or supervisor or programer aware of this issue? I
have not had any icons since unit was replaced because last two units from HP
the VISTA systems were corrupt. I am really trying to work all these kinks
out....I know its a new project and there will be several years of blunders
to find and fix....as I have studied this icon goof I see it is a rather
common prob over entire Microsoft empire. I am properly secured, so no need
going there, any other ideas ???????? New Years Peace.......Mahalo

Mr. Murphy, a big DUH to that comment.....learn to read, this is the 3rd
OS I have had in less than 6 months.....previous ones Vista corrupt, it takes
me over two weeks to tweak a PC to my standard and arrange all client folders
and accounts. And yes I have spent over 5,000 hours on phone with HP
techs....sure glad I purchased extra VIP support.....gee, have you had the
pleasure of finding answers from the young folks in India call center? It is
very helpful and informative......???? alrighty then, still have had no
success in finding any icons...they are very useful to mark folders
with...and on-line icons are not accepted by Vista, and HP sent me icons and
they have huge issue with resizing every one every time. Just need help from
someone who does know what is going on with icons.....all other issues so far
Microsoft support techs have sent me hot-fixes for,,,,kinda hoping there was
one developed for this. Ciao'

You've spent 6.8 months on the phone with HP since Vista was released?
