Hi guys,

I keep getting the same message "The file C:\WINNT\System32\tapi3.dll is
open or in use by another application. Close all other applications and then
click Retry"
Any suggestions???
Thanks in advance!

Find out which task has it open? <eg>

I'm not familiar with your OS but in XP I would
open a command window and enter:

tasklist /fi "Modules eq tapi3.dll"

The XP Support Tools also has another command line utility called oh
(Object Handles) which could do the same sort of thing with more detail.
Apparently with it the syntax might be

oh tapi3

Hmm... apparently you have to set up your system with gflags
to make that option usable.

Windows 2000 Support Tools has gflags but no oh
It does have tlist which probably substitutes for tasklist
but with a different syntax.

BTW you have posted this outside of your original thread.
