Stolen install CDs

Namely mine!
Hi,
I recently moved house and was the victim of an opportunistic thief, they
got away with my laptop and case.
I'm not bothered about the laptop(no bank info/passwords)
however the case had two WIN XP install CDs with activation codes.
One for the laptop and another for the old base unit (being used now).
If someone used my Install CD for this base unit will it invalidate my copy?

Hi there,

If they use your install keys that might be the case, best is to report your
CD's as stolen at microsoft and ask for replacement CD's , you will have to
pay a small fee though. I payed 20 euros for a replacement cd when one broke
in a million pieces in a cd rom drive
