Anyone else getting the same error? I can boot only into
safe mode and use system restore to get back to a working
condition under SP1 but that's it.
Athlon64 FX-51
Asus SK8V
GeForce 5900XT
2 Gig RAM

I'm getting a similar error on a Mesh Athlon 3800+ using Asus A8V Deluxe and
GEForce 6800

There's a discussion going on at this URL,
http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/...ad.php?t=47330

Audigy card I will need to check on but I think it is a
Audigy 2 ZS Platinum (With connection panel installed in
drive bay)

Most people seem to be on a ASUS K8V series Motherboard
which contains the Fasttrak controller. I think you will
find the relevant drivers on the ASUS website.

Is there any additional detail under the crash parameters?
(Often there is a big clue there.)

Have you looked in the Event Viewer for a possible crash record?

Something which often helps identify the crashing module
is to guess that those big values are pointers within the crashing module.
To help find out where they might be in relation to a module start
you can use the pstat -s command (or if you also have a dump
you could use the dumpchk command to generate a similar list
of modules and addresses.)

(Google web search for:
"stop code" 0x0000007E OR 00000007E OR 0x7E driver
)

BTW this is slightly off topic for this newsgroup. You may find better
help continuing the diagnosis in a newsgroup which specializes in your OS.

Good luck

Apologies for last post - It seemed to send automatically

Event viewer is empty - Appears to crash before it starts.
I couldn't see a "big clue" under the crash parameters -
I'll look again. There is no driver name listed whilst
usually there should be.

Not tried pstat and dumpchk - Will give it a go.

Found another thread at
http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?
p=260172&posted=1#post260172 which is fairly active.
