STOP 0x000000D9 following SP2 install

I just installed SP2 via automatic updates.
Following the reboot after install, it reaches the logon screen (used to
have two users, now has two but the lower user is missing and a new
Administrator user has appeared at the top). Without selecting either, a blue
screen appears with the following:
.....
The driver is corrupting the locked pages tracking structures.
......
STOP 0x000000D9
(0x00000001, 0x84B90E38, 0x84B63F88, 0x00000202)
Rebooting does not help. The only resolution I've found is to reboot in
'safe' mode (using F8 as the STOP screen kindly suggests) and then use System
Restore to go back to a pre-SP2 state.

How can I find out which driver is causing the problem?

I have just successfull installed SP2 after using the following steps:
1. Reinitiated the download via automatic updates (0 bytes required as
already there!)
2. Disconnected from internet
3. Closed as many icons in the system tray as would allow me to close them
(following suggestion on earlier post), including Trend firewall (which is
why I disconnected from the internet first!).
4. Unset a registry key set during diagnosis of driver problem weeks ago
(driver since removed) (KB Q256010).
5. Hit the install button and crossed my fingers.

6. Following reboot I was presented with:
a) the correct users (unlike last time) and
b) a question about whether to set automatic updates or not (didn't get this
question last time so machine must have STOPed before or at that point on
previous attempt).

Which step of 3 or 4 was the critical move, I'm not sure but all is running
happily now, and I don't dare set the reg key again (and don't need it again
yet)!

Hope this helps someone (or MS to investigate!).
