Stop DVD drive spinup on wakeup?

Even when I do not have a disk in the DVD drive, the drive spins up upon
wakeup from Sleep mode. Is there a setting a Vista setting or maybe BIOS
setting that can stop this?

This is NOT possible. There are no settings that will keep the DVD or CD
drive from spinning up when the OS wakes up. Disable Sleep mode if the
spin up noise bothers you.
