Stop error c0000135

I tried installing critical update 4, and half way through the install it
stoped and did not finish the install. My windows 2000 will not start. All I
get is this stop error message c0000135, every time I try to start my system.
Can anyone help with tis problem?

Error exception "c0000135" may be caused by 1 of several factors:
A 'dll' or file cannot be found. Or if there, your registry may be
corrupted.
