Howdy all,

Most of my Vista annoyances I have figured out how to deal with, but this
one I can't seem to iron out. I hate the way that IE7 shows the local file
paths I have accessed recently in the address bar when I drop down the tab to
show my most recently typed URLs. Does anyone know how to disable this
"feature".

I guess I am the type that thinks that file management and web browsing are

Thanks to all that reply,

Bryan

addresses starting with the same character. Highlight the address in the
bar, and hit backspace, then type, for example "http://w'

Sounds like a suggestion to MS. I rooted around just a bit, but could
find no setting to ignore local paths. Must admit: did not look at gpo's
to see if there's a gpo setting for such.
