Hi!
Just joined this group for searching a solution for this problem....

Running under Vista Bussiness 64 bit.

since a couple of days, I get several times a day this problem:
A popup windows tells:
Host process for Windows Services stopped working
and was closed.
and a similar note for Windows Media Network .....
The screen reslution changes spontaneously then.
After a while Vista completely halts and shows the blue screen in
which a memory crash dump is made.
Then it reboots and after it's ready, I see the message that Windows
has restarted from an unexpected shutdown.
The process is repeating, somtimes after minutes, sometimes after
hours.
Couldn't find some note in which is said which file exactly the
problem caused. Is there a tool which I can use for that?

What I already did:
- deinstalled applications I recently installed or updated.
- started from the DVD and ran the repair option of repairing
startup. Here was nothing wrong.
- Couldn't use the restore from an earlier version option, 'cause
I haven't a restorepoint from enough days back.

Can I reinstall Vista over the existing install without losing my
registry application data?

Would Vista show this behaviour if some application driver causes it
or must it be something from Vista itself?

Regards,
Gunivortus
