When I enter www.showflick.com into IE it immediately changes back to
my default which is www.google.co.uk.
If I search for showflick.com it shows all the entries but will not
connect.

Looks like the site is down, and is redirected to Google.

Trace leads to 70.87.244.242.

Odd, I was able to get to it no problems.

It's still not working for me.

I am in the UK, and davegthomas appears to be as well. It's possible that
our ISPs' DNS servers have not had any new DNS records propagated to them
yet, but a whois from www.nwtools.com gives the same IP address,
70.87.244.242.

If you type this at the command prompt:

nslookup showflick.com

...what do you get as the Non-authoritative answer?

Another possibility, is a webcache that you or your ISP is using.

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: showflick.com.home
Address: 208.67.216.132

and I can pull down the site still without any problems

For what it's worth, i'm using OpenDNS DNS servers for my network.

Still down here. The fact that you can still get it is very weird.

http://208.67.216.132 gives some sort of openness page here, so I think the
reason that you can get it, is because of that, but I have no idea what is
going on there.

I won showflick and just have noticed that my registar has messed up the dns
records, the site has been up the whole time, but due to the dns issues many
could not get it. It should be fixed in a few hours, again I just noticed it.
