Stopping Superfetch

I am trying to stop superfetch. The current status is "stopping". It's been
"stopping" for 30+ minutes. Is this normal? How long does it take?

you want to disable it compleatly? disable the service and do a restart

when a service says stopping like that it may be stuck.. you can go to start
and log off and then log back in again see the service, it will probably be
off
