Stopping unwanted updates

I have Office 2007 installed on XP SP2. I installed the proofing tools from
Office 2003 to correct the Outlook Express spellcheck problem. Now I am
constantly being asked to download and install updates for Office 2003. I
uncheck the update, click on Close, check the box "Do not notify me of these
updates again" and click OK. Several minutes later, the update is notified
again. is there a fix for this? (Been happening several times today now and
it's getting annoying!)

Go to Windows Updates / Run Custom Scan / Select the Update NOT the box /
Check the Box at the bottem to "Hide" update.
NOTE: You might get an Error Message saying your going to hell for hidding
that update. (Whatever)Grin and select OK.

OR...

Start / Control Panel / Performance and Maintenance / System / Automatic
Updates / Choose your flavor
NOTE: Your AntiV might find a problem with it.
