STORE FORM INFORMATION TEMPORARILY

I just lost an hour and a half of my life filling out an online form only to
have the session time out and website force me to relog in. Except after I
relogged in, the data I filled in was gone. Even going Back didn't work.

I stopped using Firefox, decided that I'd try IE8 that came with Windows 7.
While it seems smoother to use, it is way behind Firefox in terms of helpful
functionality.

That's one feature in Firefox that Microsoft needs to adapt ASAP if they
want to keep up in the browser wars.

Hi Matt,

Leave FX long enough and it too will log you off from a site. Web sites
control how long they keep you logged in (session timeout).

Regards.

I'm aware of that. I wasn't aware that Internet Explorer 8 will dump form
information when this happens. I never had the problem in my four years of
using FireFox.

I have the same experience with Firefox.

And I've wasted an hour and a half of my life on much less worthwhile
things. ;-)

Maybe you just need to type faster (or Work Offline while you're filling-out
such long forms)?
