I have a website which incorporates background music. The problem is I can
hear the sound on my computer work copy of the website, but cannot hear sound
when I goto the website on the internet. I first thought it was a problem
with the internet host, but later I visited my website using a different
computer and there was no problem with the sound. However, the problem still
exists when using my computer to visit my website on the internet? I might
add, that I can have experienced this problem visiting other websites with
sound on the net. Only my website?

Try clearing the IE cache.
IE, tools menu, 'delete browsing history'

Thanks for the prompt reply Mark. Delete the I.E. history, but problem
persists!

Burger ASA Vista,

All are midi music files. Use standard BGSound command in header of
webpage. Haven't had a sound problem in 5 years with using this method.

As I mentioned the no sound problem only exists when I visit my website
(http://bay-journal.com) using my computer. I get the sound on my work copy
of the websites using my computer, and when I visit my website using a
different computer. Very strange?

I have been trying to find an answer for over a month on my own, believing
it might be an I.E. or security related software problem blocking the access
to the music files?

I would think it was somewhere in your temp files. Start/../Run: type

%TEMP%

No relics in there will be needed past the next restart.

Thanks a million Burker AKA, reset the I.E. security to default values and
now have background sound again!

I still don't understand why the settings I had allowed me to hear music on
other websites, but not my own! Oh well.... I'll leave that for the gurus to
ponder.

Appreciate your help.
