Streaming avi file

Donwloaded and installed Windows Media Services 2008 on a Windows Server 2008
R2 server, I was able to set it up to stream and play wmv files to a Winodws
7 machine. However, avi file is not supported by default. How do I make it
happen so I can stream avi files?
