Stuck during windows update with Low Disk space

I started running my updates on my 2003 server and while it was on it's 3rd
update it gave me the low disk space balloon at the bottom right. So I hit
cancel on the automatic windows update form and now it's just sitting there
saying Caceling updates... and it hasn't done anything else it's been about
an hour. The low disk space is still there. I need this to roll the updates
back or do something. Can I just stop it through task manager? I'm afraid
to shut it down and have issues when I restart.

Have you tried clearing up some disk space? If that doesn't work, all I can
suggest is a controlled reboot - the update *should* cancel or rewind itself OK.
