Stuck in pause yet playing in Media Center.

Today I formatted my laptop, and after I had installed Media Center again a
problem arose. Everything seems to be working just fine, except that I am
unable to pause, rewind or forward any of my recorded or live shows. It shows
as if it is on pause, even though it is actually playing.
I did not have this problem before I formatted. Media Center has always
worked perfectly fine.

My system is Microsoft Windows XP, Media Center Edition.

Thank you in advance if you have taken the time to read this and tried to
help.

Check what decoder you are using. You can easily check that with the Windows
XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Now visit the decoder’s website to download and install the latest update.

Nvidia PureVideo Decoder is an excellent decoder which is fully compatible
with Windows Media Center 2005.

Thank you so much, it's working perfectly now! And to think I was almost
ready to just format my laptop again.

Once again, thank you very much.
