Hi everyone,

I don't know if anyone is actually up, seeing it's a saturday.

I just really need help. When I started up the computer this morning I
got the windows error recovery screen; I've got five options to chose
from: they all don't work.
They just take me to a screen called windows boot manager, stating that
I need to insert my windows installation disc and restart my computer.
and repair my computer.

it also says: file: \windows\system32\config\system
status : 0xc00000e9
info: windows failed to load because the system registry file is
missing or corrupt.

How can I fix this on my own? Because I've already had a broken
harddrive and got that replaced yesterday and everything was working
fine after I reinstalled everything.

The power did switch off during booting the computer this morning and
after this all this bad stuff started. I find it hard to imagine that
such a little event can be such a big problem?

I've tried to put in the driver cd I got with my laptop and even the
recovery cd, but they both just don't boot. So I have no idea what to do
next!

I'm not a computer whizz as such, obviously haha... so any help would
be very much appreciated,

hope you all have a nice weekend.

Set BIOS to Boot from CDROM

1. Turn on or restart the computer.
2. While the display is blank, press the F10 key to enter the BIOS settings
menu.
3. Use the right and left arrow keys to select the Advanced tab.
4. Use the up and down arrow keys to select Boot Order.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to change the boot order

I must assume this is done purposely!
There has been plenty of advice on what to do for techarena forums issues,
please, make use of it.
