Sub Folder Sizes in List View

I am unable to cause Vista to display sub-folder sizes in List view of a
major folder such as My Documents. All of the files will show their sizes in
the size column but sub-folders do not. The only option I have found is to
pass the cursor over each sub-folder name in order to find the sub-folder
size. This is tedious and does not provide a quick clear picture of which
folders are the large ones in the list.

Help is appreciated.

Of course it is tedious and does not provide inforamtion - it is Vista
explorer. You must devote more of your monies to a third party file
management tool once you install Vista. You also must pay for a third
party .zip tool and search tools as well.

You are right, you can get freeware versions of some of needed
replacement utilities. But the general response to some large gaps in
Vista functionality so far has been along the lines of:

- The problem does not exist: You are crazy
then
- The problem exists because of your hardware
then
- I guess it is a problem. Use a third party tool

If there is a Microsoft solution built into Vista to remedy the cruddy
Explorer, Search and zip support - please, let me know.

If you post specific problems and/or error messages you can probably get
some help.
