Hi,
it seems this part of Usenet is bridged to some webpage. I don't know
how threads are handled there, but in my NNTP reader I hide old posts.
So the childish...statements some people change the subject field to are
really obfuscating what thread this is. Stop it.

ob·fus·cate (bf-skt, b-fskt)
tr.v. ob·fus·cat·ed, ob·fus·cat·ing, ob·fus·cates
1. To make so confused or opaque as to be difficult to perceive or
understand: "A great effort was made . . . to obscure or obfuscate the truth"
Robert Conquest.
2. To render indistinct or dim; darken: The fog obfuscated the shore.

Unfortunately there's not a lot you (or we) can do. There are several web
forums, EggheadCafe being one, Vista 64x being another, that leach off the
MS News servers to make it appear that the forums are busier than they
really are. The owners of these forums make no attempt to tell their members
that this is what happens, so their members have no idea that their posts
appear on Usenet.
I'm just surprised that the users of these forums don't twig when they see
so many posts by "guests"....which are in fact the posts that are leached
off the MS news servers...

But having the same thread title isn't? On the forum you're using the
subject fields is superfluous. In the NNTP system I use the subject is
the *only* field, so changing it to bogus strings is not helping.

Imagine visiting your forum and finding all the titels changed to
insults. Renders all overviews useless.
