I tried to conf igure an account but Vista require a 480 Authentificatio

The message is
"Windows mail cann't obtain the newsgroup list on the server news.free.fr".

Help please

I am getting involved in my sister's Vista PC .
I have added an account for me and I am using it. The newsreader software is
Windows mail. How do I configure it with my credentials ( email address and
password ) other than in the regular mail account ?
