imaginative (sarcasm!). try msnet, at least (although msnet is still potentially generic within
context of ms).

and the email app in vista will be called..."mail"??
why not name *all* the programs, services, cpls etc, "thing"?
just call everything "thing"

and get rid of those default system folder names with 1200 character long names
containing blank space characters.

\ProgramFiles\ is as informative as \Program Files\
\DocsAndSetting\ (better: \Profiles\) is as informative as \Documents and settings and isn't

be sure to include all three blank spaces in the last folder name, and the single space in
each of the lower level folders."

the old thing.dll it will be version 2.0.4.0 or maybe as old as 1.99.088. the wrong thing.dll

depending whther you have Thing installed besides Thing, you should have 17 thing.dll and
one thing.exe *OR* two thing.exe and 23 thing.dll, plus one thing.inf. Otherwise, i think you

It will be called "Windows Mail" which is a perfectly good name in my
opinion. Tells exactly what it does unlike the old name Outlook Express
which makes no sense at all.

i think oe was a sales name to prod people toward outlook (calendar and mail) in msoffice.

but try searching for "wm".
i expect that "oe" oe oe6 (vs oe5) gives unique results faster than "wm" will.
and we already have wmp wmp9 etc. so winmail will be wm1, wm2.5, etc?

"word" is terrible. though winword is searchable.
how does excel remind anyone of a spreadsheet? ("123" is bad too)
