Suggestion: Task rearrangement

I would like to be able to rearrange tasks once I've opened a new task.

It'd be nice to have a more consistent placement of the tabs I have open by
arranging them in the order I choose. For example, I usually open Outlook
first, then maybe an Excel spreadsheet, then IE... When I close Excel, the
placement of that task will change from second to last (appear to the right
of all other tasks on the task bar). I'd like to move that task to the
second position again. This way I can consistently find my task when I am
switching btween the 84 windows I have open. I usually Alt-Tab or use the
task bar to switch tasks.

Thanks for your time.
