Suggestions on how to remove a "problematic" driver on Vista?

So, my Vista load set has 6 of the drivers on it that are mentioned in
this KB article that keep Vista SP1 from showing in Windows Update:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=948343#method5

I tried moving the *.sys files out of /windows/system32/drivers

But that didn't make SP1 show up.

So, I went to the registry and deleted all keys that contained any of
the 6 .sys files.

Still no SP1 in Windows Update.

I honestly don't know which machines added those drivers to the load
set and my master machine hosting my Vista load doesn't use any of
those drivers, so I can't "remove" them necessarily with an
uninstaller.

I *can* manually install SP1 on my load set -- worked fine on a machine
not containing any of the aforementioned drivers.

Suggestions/Thoughts? I could redo my load set from scratch, but I'm
looking to avoid that...

Thanks!

- Steve

Actually, to correct my own posting...

Removing the keys where 5 of the 6 .sys files existed *did* make SP1
show up in Windows Update.

I may just work from there, then...
