Just installed ActiveSync 4.1 for a new Dell Axim X51V.I've established a
partnership with the device, however when it tries to sync, I get the
following message:

ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop
Support code: 85010014

Does anyone know what this means and how I can get around it?

Try the newsgroup archives, its been covered a number of times in the past.

Jack,

Assuming you are syncing with Outlook make sure it is switched to Online
mode for initial sync.

I have received the same message with my axim on my Sony laptop but I have
no problem with my Dell desktop.

Uninstalled outlook and reinstalled it. Error code is gone and my axim syncs
properly.
