Support Code 850200100

I recently bought a DoPod 838 and love the functionality. I setup AS 4.1
with Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Favorites synced with my PC and Email
syned with our Exchange Server. I do not use any PC-based firewall
software...only McAfee anti virus.

When I connect the phone to the PC via USB and sync, I get a message in AS
which states:
Exchange Server: Attention Required (link to a popup message "Cannot connect
with current connection settings. To check your connection settings, select
Start, then Settings, then Connections. Support Code: 85020010".

At the same time on the phone a popup message says "The current connection
cannot be used for your request. Please end the current connection and try
again". This popup has a button for Dismiss and a link to Settings. If you
click Settings, it takes you to the Connections functionality.

Any idea what is doing on here? Does this have to do with an SSL
certificate as I have been reading or (hopefully) something more straight
forward.

Cheers,
Andy

Does the device synchronize OK via GPRS?

Rob,

Using GPRS I do get new emails delivered to the phone as per the schedule I
defined in AS...I think you are pointing to this not being an SSL issue.
Any other thoughts?

Cheers,
Andy

Is the address you are using addressable from inside your network? For
example, you may use exchange.mycompany.com on GPRS, but that's not
addressable from inside the network - instead you access it as
exchange01.

Rob,

You are correct. The internal and external addresses are different. Is
there a way to set this up properly? (please tell me if this is an RTFM
issue )

Cheers,
Andy

The only real way is to ensure that you can use the external address
on the internal network (ie the address is forwarded back around to
the correct server)

Rob and Andy,

I am having the same problem, but in my case the address is the same inside
and outside the network. Mine works find on GPRS, but always gives the
errors Andy described when using usb and activesync on my work desktop pc.

Is the IP address the same, both internally and externally? In some
cases, the DNS may resolve to one IP from outside the network, but
resolve to a different IP inside the network... ActiveSync caches the
IP, which can cause problems in this scenario.
