Nothing is wrong with recommending Open Office. It runs on ALL major
operating system. It is cross platform. It runs efficiently and is not
bloated. It has a drawing package as well. The only thing it does not
have is a Database that is as good as Access.

Most people who buy MS Office do not get the professional version that
contains Access so for them it is a moot point.
