SUS, clients not downloading updates

I am running a Win2K domain with 100+ clients that are
configured via Group Policy to update via SUS. Many of the
clients update without problems but many others will check
the SUS server for updates (noted in Windows Update.log)
and quit without downloading any new content. Upon using
MBSA to check for updates, I find that the clients are
missing multiple approved updates. Any ideas?
