SUS default page does not show

After I installed SUS, it should publish the service on default web
(port 80), however when I access this address from a client computer
http://{server_name}, it displays the page of "under construction".

Should I manually go into IIS and chang eanything?

If I really have to change the "Home Directory" of the default web site
in order ot make it work, and all of my updates are saved under the
D:\SUS folder, what exactly is the path that I need to put as home
directory?

Hi,

I think what you see is normal, for the clients, SUS doesn't have a
Web interface as Windows Update have, the only way the updates will
be able to install is to use the Automatic Updates client.

Another thing:

Is there any specific reason you have installed SUS instead of WSUS?

Note that support for SUS will stop June 6, 2006.


If it is WSUS you have installed, please post WSUS related issues
to the newsgroup dedicated to WSUS:
microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services

(the microsoft.public.softwareupdatesvcs newsgroup is for SUS)
