I have tried these recommendations and other elsewhere online, but all of my
attempts to fix this svchost app error on my laptop has failed. Updates came
through and crippled my dektop and laptop, but my laptop's failure was more
severe. I am unable to access services.msc, appwiz.cpl (add/remove
programs), automatic updates (in control panel), I am unable to access the
internet, and several other issues. Basically, every solution that I have
found will not work because some step in the remedy can not be done because
of the above access issues. If anyone has any suggestions, other than
reinstalling my OS, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
