Not sure how many systems you admin but, to temporarily resolve the
issue, one can stop the Automatic Updates service and then
delete the contents of the WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download
and DataStore\Logs folders.
Also, in the DataStore folder is a file named DataStor.ebd
Suggest deleting that, too as it *can* grow quite large.
Deleting the contents of Logs and DataStor.edb will erase the history of
updating shown at either the WU or MU update sites.
Restart the Automatic Updates service after doing the above.
