Hello guys,

yesterday I got following problem directly on my WSUS Server.
After applying new Updategroups and allowing new Updates to be
downlaoded the downlaod for the Update started. But after maybe some
minutes or maybe an hour of downloading the new Updates I recognized
that the server is at 100% CPU load. so i took a look at the
taskmanager and i found the problem: svchost.exe. I tried a restart
but nothing changed... svchost all the time at 100% load...
So i tried to find a solution.. but nothing helped. I tried to delete
the temporaray downlaod file from WSUS, it helped for about 1
minute... and than yes.. svchost again at 100% load...
I think theres a problem with an update..

has anyone some help or a possible solution for me?

Thanks and greets
bapho

SYMPTOMS
The Automatic Updates service may increase memory consumption over time and
may eventually become unresponsive. The memory consumption increases quickly
if the Automatic Updates detection cycle policy is set to do detection
frequently, such as every 2 hours.
